Bedrock is a mobile application developed by AppDrop ("we", "us", "our") that helps BC free miners track mineral and placer claims, log field work, receive deadline notifications, and generate assessment reports. Bedrock is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Important: Bedrock is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the BC Ministry of Mining and Critical Minerals, Mineral Titles Branch, or any other government body. Bedrock is an independent third-party tool. The BC Mineral Titles Online (MTO) system remains the sole authoritative source of record for all mineral titles in British Columbia.
You must be 18 years of age or older to use Bedrock. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement. In British Columbia, a person must be at least 18 years old to hold a Free Miner Certificate, which is the primary use case for this application.
You sign into Bedrock using Apple or Google authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account. You must not share your account with others or allow others to use your account to access Bedrock features.
You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide — including your MTO Client Number and FMC expiry date — is accurate. Bedrock cannot verify this information independently.
New users receive a one-month free trial of Bedrock's paid features. No charge is made during the trial period. The trial begins when you first subscribe and does not restart if you cancel and resubscribe.
After the trial, Bedrock costs $99 CAD per year, billed annually and auto-renewed. All payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) — we never handle your payment card information directly.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for unused portions of a subscription period, except where required by applicable law or Apple/Google refund policies.
Map browsing and claim search remain free indefinitely, regardless of subscription status.

You retain ownership of all field journal entries, photos, and notes you create in Bedrock. By uploading content to Bedrock, you grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely for the purpose of operating the app and generating your reports.
Reports generated by Bedrock AI are provided as a starting point for your assessment report submissions. You are responsible for reviewing all generated reports for accuracy before submitting them to MTO or any other authority. AppDrop makes no warranty that generated reports will be accepted by MTO or that they comply with all applicable regulations.
AI-generated reports may contain errors. Always review your report carefully before submission. You are the recorded holder of your claims and bear sole responsibility for the accuracy of information submitted to BC Mineral Titles.
Generated report PDFs are retained by AppDrop permanently, even after account deletion, as a record of service. These reports form part of the public BC mining assessment record. By using the report generation feature, you consent to this retention.
Bedrock sources claim data from the BC Government's public WFS service, updated daily. We make no guarantee that this data is always current, complete, or accurate. In particular:
Critical: Never rely solely on Bedrock notifications to meet MTO deadlines. Always verify your claim status and expiry dates directly in MTO. A missed GOOD_TO_DATE results in automatic forfeiture at midnight with no notice from the BC Government.
The Bedrock application, including its design, code, and content, is owned by AppDrop and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The BC Government claim data accessed through the WFS service is subject to the BC Open Government Licence.
The Bedrock name and logo are trademarks of AppDrop. You may not use them without our prior written consent.
Bedrock is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AppDrop disclaims all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that all notifications will be delivered.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AppDrop shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Bedrock, including but not limited to:
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AppDrop, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the app, violation of these terms, or submission of inaccurate reports to any authority.
We may suspend or terminate your access to Bedrock at any time if you violate these terms. You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it within the app. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately, though sections 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 survive termination.
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Bedrock shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via in-app notification and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
